On Friday, November 7 at 11:30am, the UCLA Faculty Association is hosting a panel discussion with Claudia Polsky (UC Berkeley Law) and Ariela Gross (UCLA Law).
Prof. Polsky was one of the lead organizers and counsel for the Thakur v. Trump lawsuit, which restored federal research grants totaling $580 million to UCLA on June 23 (NSF, EPA, and NEH grants) and September 22 (NIH, DOD, and DOT grants).
Prof. Gross will be talking about the illegality of the Trump $1.2 billion demand letter and the organizing activities of UC law faculty.
We will talk about our legal strategies going forward, including the results of the AAUP v. Trump case which seeks to stop Trump's illegal threat of federal funding cuts.
