We, the undersigned UC faculty demand that the University of California cease any negotiations with the Federal Government over the August 8th letter demanding a $1.2 Billion dollar settlement from UCLA. The Trump Administration's demands have no legal basis and should be resisted in court, not negotiated behind closed doors.

This petition is organized by the Council of UC Faculty Associations, a coordinating organization for the Faculty Associations (FAs) at the 10 campuses of the University of California. The FAs are voluntary membership associations of UC Senate faculty on these campuses. The FAs and CUCFA are the only bodies empowered to represent the faculty before the University or the Legislature on matters relating to their economic or employment interests.
